L-Carnitine has anti-inflamatory properties. It therefore limits oxidative stress.
Scientific evidence
Our body is able to produce carnitine from other amino acids such as lysine and methionine in the kidneys and liver. This is used to cover our daily needs. However, the health authorities have not established a minimum daily intake. Studies have shown that carnitine is more effective in eliminating fats when it is combined with other components*
